PRIMALCHIT SOLUTIONS S.L in a Technology-Based Innovative Enterprise (EBT for its acronym in Spanish) born in 2019 in Valencia, Spain. Its business strategy is mainly focused on technology research and development as well as strategic consultancy for project deployment under the principles of “Sustainable Chemistry”. Owning two patents under PTC scope, Primalchit has contributed in projects to develop catalysts for NOx reduction in static effluents, photochemical processes for the elimination of combustion flue gases, and catalysts for low-temperature methane decomposition. Primalchit’s founding team has over 30 years of background developing Innovation Projects. Moreover, PRIMALCHIT counts senior researchers with experience in materials chemistry, energy storage and environmental technology. PRIMALCHIT participates in hydrogen related projects in collaboration with reference technologic centers and in the last years, PRIMALCHIT has been awarded with national projects related to hydrogen production where its role is the scale-up of materials and electrode development for hydrogen production. Moreover, PRIMALCHIT participates in the European project DAM4COA leading the working package aimed at Life Cycle Assessment.

Mrs. Bárbara LLobell holds a degree in Economics from the University of Valencia (2012), having completed the final year of her studies at the University of Exeter (UK). She began her professional career in Panama, where she spent three years working in the public procurement department of an architecture firm. With over a decade of experience in R&D project management, Bárbara has led and contributed to numerous innovation initiatives across diverse sectors. Since 2023, she has served as CEO of PRIMALCHIT, a company she co-founded in 2019, where she continues to drive strategic growth and foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and collaboration.

Dr. Maykel de Miguel holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and a PhD from the Technical University of Valencia. His scientific career is supported by an outstanding record of research, including more than twelve scientific articles published in prestigious international journals such as Chemical Science, Journal of Physical Chemistry C, Journal of the American Chemical Society, and Langmuir, among others. These publications confirm the high scientific quality, rigor, and relevance of the research he has conducted throughout his career. In addition to his publications, Dr. de Miguel has presented twelve communications at international conferences and has participated in a total of four research projects. His broad research experience spans both national and international institutions, notably during his postdoctoral stage at the IST-CQFM in Lisbon, where he worked for three years. During this period, he specialized in the synthesis of thermosensitive polymers deposited on fibers for cell cultivation and in the development of methods for their separation from fiber supports. He also investigated the preparation of triboelectric materials capable of producing charge movement through friction, enabling the transfer of electrons between materials and generating controlled electrostatic effects with potential technological applications. In 2021, Dr. de Miguel joined PRIMALCHIT with a Torres Quevedo contract from the Ministry of Science and Innovation, as part of the R&D area, to carry out research and technological development activities for R&D projects. Within PRIMALCHIT, he contributes to the design and development of advanced materials and innovative technologies aligned with the company’s strategic focus on sustainability, energy transition, and circular economy. His work combines fundamental scientific knowledge with practical industrial application, reinforcing the company’s leadership in technological innovation.

Dr Mireia Buaki-Sogó holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Valencia and a PhD from the same university. She has knowledge in the field of synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials for catalysis, sensors, energy storage; but also, in management and technological development for R&D&i projects. She has been awarded with several doctoral and postdoctoral research grants and contracts, such as a Research Staff Training grant from the Ministry of Science and Innovation for the completion of the doctoral thesis dealing with synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials for sensors and functional materials. In 2013, she was awarded with a Marie Curie post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Namur where she worked in the development of catalysts for CO2 fixation. In 2016 she was granted with a Torres-Quevedo contract from the Ministry of Science and Innovation at the Energy Technology Institute, for the development of biobatteries and biosensors; After the completion of the Torres-Quevedo contract in 2019, she was dedicated as a senior researcher to the development of materials and anodes for lithium batteries and fuel cells. Dr. Buaki-Sogó holds an experience designing, planning and performing research projects and proposals in the field of Nanomaterials, Nanotechnology, Energy, Sustainability, Circular Economy and related development technologies. Focused on Transfer of Technology and Innovation has over a 5-year background coordinating with cross-functional teams. She joined PRIMALCHIT in 2023 in the R&D area to carry out activities related to project management, business development and technological development of research and innovation projects. She has 1 patent proposal, 15 communications at conferences and has participated in a total of 17 research projects, in 6 of them as principal investigator. She participates as an evaluator for the MDPI publishing and has published a total of 25 articles in scientific journals with an h-index of 14.
